In response to the impact of the flood disaster in Demak and Kudus, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Central Java, in collaboration with the local governments, is intensifying collaborative efforts for disaster mitigation and recovery. This synergy forms an effective partnership to support the logistical operations for affected residents.

The Local Governments of Demak and Kudus, together with the BPBD of Central Java, convened an emergency coordination meeting at the BPBD office in Demak. The meeting was attended by relevant officials, military and police personnel, volunteers, and various stakeholders involved in disaster response efforts.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the strong collaboration between local and provincial governments is crucial to ensuring the timely and effective distribution of logistical assistance to the affected areas.

The BPBD of Central Java is providing support by supplying logistical aid such as ready-to-eat meals, clean water, blankets, clothing, and other basic necessities. They are also contributing personnel and equipment to assist in evacuation operations and emergency response in the field.

The Head of the BPBD of Central Java expressed, “We are committed to providing maximum support in disaster management. Good coordination between local and provincial governments is essential to ensure that logistical assistance can be distributed effectively and promptly.”

This joint effort not only involves emergency response but also extends to the rehabilitation and reconstruction phase post-flooding. The government hopes that this collaboration can serve as an example for other regions in facing natural disasters, strengthening the disaster management system at the regional level.

Residents affected by the disaster are advised to remain vigilant, follow evacuation instructions, and report to authorities if they require assistance. The collaboration between local governments, the BPBD of Central Java, and various stakeholders continues to be a key pillar in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community amidst the natural disaster.
