Semarang, October 5, 2024 – The Indonesia Marketing Association (IMA) Sub-Chapter Semarang successfully held an event titled “Today’s Marketing” on Saturday, October 5, 2024. The event focused on empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and entrepreneurial students from Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP). Attended by numerous participants, including MSME owners and UNDIP students, the event offered insights into modern marketing strategies.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Edy Raharja, S.E., M.Si., a lecturer from the Management and Logistics Administration Study Program at UNDIP, shared valuable knowledge on the evolving trends in digital marketing. Dr. Edy emphasized how MSMEs and student entrepreneurs can leverage technology to enhance their competitive advantage in the digital era.

During the first session, Dr. Edy discussed contemporary marketing strategies relevant to MSME owners, focusing on branding, online marketing, and effective customer relationship management through social media and e-commerce platforms.

The second session was divided into two practical mentoring groups. Stacia Reviany Mege, S.E., M.S.M., guided the MSME participants, providing hands-on advice on how to optimize product marketing through digital platforms and offering practical tips to enhance efficiency in distribution and logistics processes.

Meanwhile, Riandhita Eri Werdani, S.M.B., M.S.M., led the mentoring for student entrepreneurs from UNDIP, focusing on developing business strategies and marketing plans. She highlighted the importance of innovation and market adaptation, especially for students who are just starting their businesses.

The “Today’s Marketing” event is part of IMA Sub-Chapter Semarang’s initiative to support local economic growth by empowering MSMEs and fostering entrepreneurship among students. Through collaborations with various stakeholders, this event aims to help entrepreneurs become more competitive and adaptive in facing the challenges of the global market.

With high enthusiasm, MSME participants and student entrepreneurs actively participated in the Q&A sessions and expressed eagerness to apply the knowledge they gained to grow their respective businesses. They left the event better equipped to tackle future market challenges.
