As part of the 67th Anniversary celebrations of Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), lecturers and students from the Logistics Management and Administration (MAL) Study Program enthusiastically participated in the Carnival and Chant Competition, held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. The event was filled with creativity and festivity, featuring various performances from faculties and study programs across the university.
In line with this year’s anniversary theme, “Poverty Alleviation and Food Security”, MAL lecturers stood out by wearing traditional farmer’s hats (caping) while carrying an assortment of fruits and vegetables. This representation underscored the role of the logistics sector in supporting food security and efficient distribution, aligning with the spirit of the university’s anniversary theme.
A key highlight of MAL’s participation was the presence of female lecturers dressed in elegant red kebaya, symbolizing the importance of chili peppers in maintaining food security. Chili, as a crucial commodity in daily food consumption, was chosen to emphasize the role of logistics in ensuring price stability and the availability of essential goods in the market.
The enthusiasm wasn’t limited to the lecturers; MAL students also brought energy to the chant competition. With passion, they voiced their support for the significance of logistics in the food distribution system, urging the UNDIP academic community to collaborate toward achieving food security and poverty alleviation.
The Carnival and Chant Competition is part of the 67th Anniversary series of events aimed at fostering unity among the academic community while raising awareness of critical social issues, such as poverty and food security. Through their spirited participation, the MAL Program once again highlighted its commitment to advancing the logistics sector, which plays a vital role in ensuring sustainable food systems and community welfare.
