Semarang, November 19, 2024 – A significant achievement has been accomplished by Nurul Imani Kurniawati, a lecturer from the Program of Management and Logistics Administration, Vocational College, Diponegoro University. She successfully earned her Doctoral degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Diponegoro University, completing her studies in a relatively short time of 2 years, 11 months, and 29 days, with a GPA of 3.81.

Nurul Imani Kurniawati was officially graduated during the 176th Graduation Ceremony of Diponegoro University (UNDIP), a special event that involved 3,826 graduates from various study programs. Among these, the Doctoral Program in Economics at FEB UNDIP graduated 14 individuals, three of whom earned the Cum Laude distinction.

Nurul became one of the top graduates in the program, with the Cum Laude distinction reflecting her dedication and hard work as an academic. This achievement not only proves her competence in successfully completing the doctoral program with excellence but also demonstrates her strong commitment to advancing knowledge relevant to the needs of the industry.

**Industry-Based Research**

Under the guidance of her Promoter, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., who is currently the Rector of Diponegoro University, and Co-Promoter Dr. Edy Raharja, S.E., M.Si., her doctoral research titled *“Sinergic Working Congruence in Efforts to Enhance Employee Engagement among Vocational Education Graduates: An Empirical Study on Logistics Service Provider Companies in Indonesia”* focused on how work alignment and organizational synergy can improve employee engagement among vocational education graduates in the logistics sector. This research aims to provide a real contribution, particularly to the logistics sector, while bridging the industry’s need for excellent vocational education graduates. The research offers new insights for logistics companies in Indonesia on how to create synergy between individuals, teams, and organizations to improve work engagement.

“I hope this research can serve as a guide for logistics companies in developing HR management strategies based on synergy, especially for vocational education graduates. With this approach, companies can face global competition more effectively,” said Nurul Imani Kurniawati.

**Contribution to Academia and Industry**

As a lecturer, Nurul Imani Kurniawati is committed to applying the results of this research both in classroom learning and in collaboration with the logistics industry. This research is expected to help bridge the industry’s need for skilled vocational education graduates and strengthen the relevance of vocational higher education in supporting Indonesia’s competitiveness, particularly in the rapidly growing logistics sector.

The acquisition of her doctoral degree also adds to the number of lecturers with doctoral degrees in the Program of Management and Logistics Administration at Vocational College, Diponegoro University, further enhancing academic competence and improving the quality of teaching in the program.
