“Students of the Logistics Management and Administration program recently conducted an industrial visit to PT Teduh Makmur as part of their coursework in Risk Management and Occupational Health and Safety (K3) Logistics. This visit aimed to provide students with direct insights into the application of theory in the workplace, particularly in relation to risk management and workplace safety in the logistics sector.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to engage in discussions with professionals from PT Teduh Makmur. They met with the President Director of PT Teduh Makmur, who also serves as the Chairman of ALFI Central Java, Mr. H. Teguh Arif Handoko, S.E., M.Si, as well as Mr. Istijono, the Operational Manager of PT Teduh Makmur. The students learned about key aspects such as Risk Identification and Mitigation, as well as the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) in logistics.

“This visit has been a valuable experience for us. In addition to deepening our understanding of the theories we’ve learned in class, we also got to see how these concepts are applied in real-world settings,” said one of the students who participated in the visit.

The President Director of PT Teduh Makmur and Chairman of ALFI Central Java, Mr. H. Teguh Arif Handoko, S.E., M.Si, also welcomed the initiative. “We hope that this visit will broaden the students’ understanding of the importance of risk management and K3 in the logistics industry. We also hope that it will inspire young generations who will soon become professionals in this field,” said one of the managers at PT Teduh Makmur.

The course lecturer, Dr. Nurul Imani Kurniawati, S.E., M.M., expressed her hopes that the visit would enable students to apply the knowledge they gain in their future careers. “I hope this visit provides a deeper understanding and raises awareness about the importance of implementing risk management and K3 practices in ensuring the sustainability of operations, particularly in logistics companies,” she concluded.

This activity is expected to be an initial step in strengthening the collaboration between universities and the industry, aiming to produce graduates who are work-ready and competent in the logistics field.”
