Yunlin, Taiwan – Anabella Kusuma Wardhani is a student enrolled in the Management and Logistics Administration program at the Vocational College. As part of her efforts to develop knowledge and skills at an international level, Anabella took advantage of the opportunity offered by the Indonesia International Mobility Awards (IISMA) 2024. Anabella successfully earned a spot in the IISMA program at the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (NYUST) in Taiwan, a prestigious university known for its academic programs focused on technology and international management. There, Anabella pursued a Bachelor of International Management program, which not only expanded her knowledge of management in a global context but also provided an opportunity to develop skills relevant to the international business world.

For Anabella, the chance to study in Taiwan through IISMA was an invaluable experience. During this student exchange program, Anabella was not only involved in challenging coursework but also had the opportunity to participate in various activities that supported her personal and professional development. One of the most memorable experiences was being invited by a professor at NYUST to participate in a paper conference competition. This competition was an opportunity for students to present their research and academic papers in the field of management. With her background in management and logistics administration, Anabella was able to propose a topic related to international management. Participating in this competition proved to be an incredibly valuable experience, allowing Anabella to hone her research and analytical skills while deepening her understanding of current issues in the world of management from a global perspective.

Throughout the IISMA program, Anabella also took part in various international activities organized by NYUST. These activities were designed to introduce students to Taiwanese culture and global cultures in general. Through events like cultural festivals, international workshops, and visits to local institutions and companies, Anabella gained invaluable experience interacting with people from different countries and backgrounds.

One of the aspects Anabella greatly appreciated during her exchange program in Taiwan was the opportunity to experience a different social and cultural life. Taiwan, with its unique culture, has many traditions and customs that differ from those in Indonesia. For example, she had the chance to try various famous Taiwanese dishes such as xiao long bao (dumplings filled with broth) and bubble tea, as well as participate in various cultural festivals held on campus.

Through these experiences, Anabella not only learned about Taiwan but also understood the importance of cross-cultural understanding in the international business world. These social activities provided Anabella with opportunities to build friendships with students from different countries, enriching her perspective on the diversity of cultures and customs in the global community.
