Semarang, October 24, 2024 – The Postgraduate Building B of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) hosted a Stadium General with the theme “Driving Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Excellence: Lessons from Malaysia’s Sustainable Supply Chains.” The event featured renowned speaker Prof. Yudi Fernando, MBA., Ph.D., M.LogM and was attended by 120 students from various programs.

 

This event is part of the Adjunct Professor program organized by the Logistics Management and Administration Study Program of the Vocational School, Diponegoro University. The program aims to equip students with insights into the critical role of ESG in building sustainable supply chains, drawing on both regional and international contexts.

The event opened with a speech from Dr. Ida Hayu Dwimawanti, M.M., Vice Dean 1 of the Vocational School at UNDIP. She expressed appreciation for Prof. Yudi’s willingness to share his expertise. “This collaboration reflects the Vocational School’s commitment to enriching students’ knowledge through innovative and globally oriented learning,” she said.

The opening ceremony also featured a symbolic moment, where Prof. Yudi Fernando was officially welcomed as an Adjunct Professor at Diponegoro University. A varsity jacket was presented to Prof. Yudi as a symbol of UNDIP’s dedication to fostering closer collaboration with international experts.

In his presentation, Prof. Yudi emphasized that ESG is not merely about corporate social responsibility but a long-term strategy for sustainability and business competitiveness. “Malaysia has implemented critical steps in building sustainable supply chains. These experiences can inspire Indonesia to create a business ecosystem that is environmentally and socially responsible,” he explained.

The discussion was engaging and interactive, guided by the moderator, Stacia Reviany Mege, S.E., M.S.M., who ensured a dynamic question-and-answer session. The event’s flow was skillfully managed by MCs Fernando and Ester, maintaining a lively and well-organized atmosphere.
